My 1 week leave is ending so soon.
Did loads of things, for eg. Slacking at home, watching movies, catching up with friends.
Things that i wont get to do in the army.
My ass is getting better, if you are asking, the wound is healing.

Caught 28weeks later by myself earlier this week.
The show is FANTASTIC, better than the previous 28 days later.
If you are wondering, the show revolves around

"...even months after the rage virus has annihilated the British isles, the US army declares that the war against infection has been won, and that the reconstruction of the country can begin. In the first wave of returning refugees, a family is reunited--but one of them unwillingly carries a terrible secret. The virus is not yet dead, and this time, it is more dangerous than ever "- imdb.

Had lunch with mel on tues, shes a laughing hyena. One thing for sure about this girl is that her contagious laughter... psst.
And...she has an overtly nice smile. CHeck that out :)

Little ms Sunshine

Tmr~ i be going sentosa with the commando boys. I seriously wonder what will happened. Supposedly meeting staff at marina for bbq at night, should i go?

This is my new found love, shes 10 years old and a guy is selling her off ebay. I am really trying to win this auction. A rare find, you know what i mean if ya an oakley fan.

Hope Dangled on that String...

Hi all, my week sucks.

This is perhaps the worst week of 2007.

1) Got admitted to Hospital, CGH
2) Had my first operation(surgery), on my right butt... Abscess
3) Nearly got Out Of Course from commandos.
4) Horrible field trips, range and hygience :(
5) Wasted my Attend C of 12 days, got converted to light duties due to the need to go for the outfields.

But...

I am on week for a week !!! Yeah. my course officially ends this week. Going over to Hendon camp for airborne course soon..yeah.

Time Flies...

Been quite lazy to post lately. Have been a Private for a month plus now, yet i am still getting the damn $350 pay. The saf owes me a few hundred bucks... :( Hope to see a 4 fig salary in my account next month.

Last Friday was probably the most heart-pumping day after the A level results day. It was the Basic Airborne Course selection test and i was just too jumpy over it. The reason was simple, i wasnt confident in passing it. 8 pull ups!? gosh... it was a dream since i entered the army in dec. Yet, i managed to do it. :) A clap for Gabriel! Yes, i passed the BAC test. I guess i be jumping off the c-130 in due time....

Up to hitherto, my stay in wpn course proves be a period of enthrilling roller-coaster ride. Some bad days, and some definitely good ones. Live Firings are indoubtly must-die experiences that a man, or a boy can ever dream about. Big Guns, Small Guns... Guns that kill.

At this current stage, i am in the 2nd phase of my course. This month's gonna be a tough baby...expecting loads of pimple outbreaks due to the outfields at marsiling. Argggg~~~SNAG SNAG SNAG HAtes Bad Face Day.

Many at times, i think of my bmt days. Good days, turnouts and the rants of impetuous sergeants. I miss my buddies, the mates of platoon 4- det 3. The 12 of us, all divided among the various courses.
1 leader
5 weaponman
1 medic
3 signallers
1 demo

and sadly...1 out of course. RICHARD LAM!!! WHY DID U LEAVE!!! Stupid damn arse. See la..See la...

Bookouts are days much appreciated.
"Book Out Loh!", an often colloquial word clinged by soliders....Days where love ones meet loved ones... boy meets girls... boy frequents macdonalds... boy smiles :)

Anyway, the list goes on... ranting bout army life and what follows.

Signing off now,

Ciaos amigos.

Courage is grace under pressure.

Life has been as such.

A quick recap of what happened these few months.
-Enlisted into NS
-POP
-Promoted to the rank of private
My passing out parade :)

Just had the Commando Water Sports Carnival today. It was my 1st part rolling a dragon
Boat. Particapted in the 300m, 12 men race. Well.... we came in 4th. The only team we won were the female riggers. How pathetic. But anyway, we did our best.

Some pics to shares

A levels came, passed, and out

hello guys. Have not been updating for a while. Army life has become a modicum of increativity for the past few weeks. Running, Jumping, Shitting, Peeing... you name in.

Well. We been to the fields, eat there, shit there, and .... ( the list goes on )

I am gonna finish my BMT on 14th march. So yeah. My Recruit status gonna expire soon.

Just received my god-damned A levels result Yesterday!

THE RESULTS PRESENTATION WAS A WHORE!

Bit by Bit....
Slow and steady.... and finallyyyyyyyyyyyyy.........

To the collection counter.

Familiar Sights.
Sniggles, Giggles.
Laughters.
Tears.
Girls then Guys.
And then my turn.

Gabriel. You did fairly well.

English Literature C
History B
Music B
General Paper B3

HOLY SHIT!!! thats what i wanted.
not exactly the best of results , but i am contented.

Yeah. so i guess I am applying into NUS FASS.

Wish me luck peeps.

and pray that i dun die in my camp.

Life as Such...

Been to the field. Marsiling reserve, the place is incredulously huge. Trees, sands, and many contigents of insects.

The allocation of tents of my platoon was rather shabby. The area in that sense. We were in the middle of the foliage, thick logs and humid drifts. My buddy was sick for the trip, with the frequent coughs, noseblocks and the occasionally mood swings. Things went well pretty as much, training was quite safe. Crept thru ant congested grounds, bitten and mauled by those small little suckers.

The taste of food rations was bitter sweet. Something nice that lies in every pack, yet after a few savoury bites ( if it deemed fit) one might find the taste notably blend.

Enticing flavors as marked on each pack.
-Terriyaki Chicken Pasta
-Green Curry Rice
-Black Pepper Chicken Rice
-Lo Mai Ko ( HORRID )
-Tomato Chicken Pasta
-Peranakan Rice Dumpling

In the 2 day outfield training, we survived undulating terrain. A 12km march with 3 right ankle sprains. An accidental step on a barb wire. Blisters and pain.

However as much as the list will want to go on, i would say nature's predicaments made me stronger.

"I mean if my muscles ache, it's because I've used 'em. It's hard for me to walk up them steps now, its 'cuz I walked up 'em every night to lay next to a man who loved me. I got a few wrinkles here and there, but I've layed under thousands of skies with sunny days. I look and feel this way, well cuz I drank and I smoked. I lived and I loved, danced, sang, sweat and screwed my way thorough a pretty damn good life if you ask me. Getting old ain't bad Ben. Getting old, that's earned. "

Hello

Its been a while since i last posted. Been in the army for a month + now. Getting used to the exercises and environment. Well, my physical stamina did improved and i am hoping to build a 6 pec by the end of 6 months. That is i managed to pass my basic airborne selections and stay in the cdo unit.

Frankly speaking. I am quite envious of the other attached guys. Having a gf in army seen to be the shimmering glimpse of hope, with something to look forward to. Yet, a single me just attend to my parents' call at night. Life as such. Perhaps, things will get better.

Carpe Diem.

Kudos.
